Welcome to Alcove Kennels! My name is Melissa — I am originally from a small town in Massachusetts, and moved to New York six years ago where I met my husband Shane. Growing up, I always had dogs at home and now have five of my own — Vinny, Corral, Max, Jolene and Dolly.

Once you've taken your puppy home, it's essential to continue guiding them properly. Puppy Kindergarten attendance is required, and crate use during housetraining is advised. A physical
Our animals are bred to prioritize their purpose . We ensure our animals exhibit the typical friendly and outgoing temperaments through diligent effort. Once you've taken your puppy home, it's essential to continue guiding them properly. Puppy Kindergarten attendance is required, and crate use during housetraining is advised. A physical fence is necessary to keep your dog safe; invisible fencing is not sufficient. We adhere to these requirements strictly. Our breeding combinations prioritize the breed standard, temperament, instinct, and health, using fully health-tested dogs and stud dogs. We retain the pick puppy to advance our breeding program, and the rest of the litter is placed in individual homes, with Volhard Puppy Aptitude Testing performed when the litter reaches about 7 weeks of age.
